The best time to reach a young person for Christ is before
they wander off on their own into the world and make choices they wish they
hadn’t.In the Diocese of Tyler we are
linking up ministries with Youth With a Mission (YWAM). They are a powerful
ministry that has been in
East Texas since the
early 80’s.
Nov 5-7, 2010 the Diocese will hold another weekend youth retreat
at the YWAM property in Lindale. They will stay in small cabins with bunk beds, participate in fun games and fellowship. There is great live music. We have adoration, prayer, confession, Mass. Most of all they get in touch with God. This retreat will give the students a taste for our 2 week Summer of Service and Training camp, SST, where they train in this village for one week then travel to Houston for a full week of actual evangelization on the streets. This retreat is coordinated for the Diocese of Tyler by Kerygma Texas, a branch of Youth With a Mission.
